NUOS INTL.MISSION STATEMENT
To confront oppression/oppressors, inspire and seek justice for the Ogoni people, indigenous students’
and groups around the world through advocacy, educational research, mentorship and issuance of scholarships.
NUOS INTL.USA HISTORY
The National
Union of Ogoni Students is a not-for –profit, 501 (C) (3) Tax Exempt and Illinois Tax Exempt organization. It was founded
by Comrades Anslem John-Miller, Charles Wiwa and Idee Igbo in 1998.NUOS was incorporated in the State of Illinois in September
2002. It obtained the 501 (C) (3) in 2005.
MEMBERSHIP
NUOS INTL, USA shall admit into the organization Ogoni students and other interested persons and mission
statement of the organization.
Membership fee of US $20 dollars applies. Membership dues of US $120.
Members are
entitled to voting rights; general information and events calendar.
HONORARY
MEMBERSHIP
This is conferred on individuals who distincquish themselves through
selfless services in the field of environment, human and indigenous rights.
EDUCATIONAL
INSTITUTION
Annual fee of US $150 dollars. Shall be entitled to voting rights;
general information; events calendar; workshops & seminars and other enlightenment programs.
SMALL BUSINESSES
Annual fee of $250 Dollars applies. Entitled
to voting rights; general information; events calendar; workshops and seminars and other enlightenment.
