We are witnesses to the deplorable human and ecological conditions in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. Insecurity, environmental pollution, human rights abuses, poverty, unemployment, poor health conditions, corruption, lack of drinking water,  bad politics, embezzlement, lack of quality education and poor economic development continue to ruin the living conditions of the Niger Delta people.

NUOS International, USA (a champion of solutions to the Niger Delta crisis) is organizing a summit (this time in Nigeria), with the hope that the Nigerian Nation and President Umaru Yar-adua’s administration will resolve the Niger Delta crisis for seek of sustainable development in the area.

We can't fold our hands, watch and allow the situation continue to deteriorate. For the sake of human dignity and respect, and for the love of our relatives, we call on people of goodwill, freedom fighters, investors and developers, environmentalists, world health experts, humanists, academicians, and entertainers to join us to help Niger Delta develop sustainably.
